Franklin County Health Department Announces Layoffs

The Franklin County Health Department announced Wednesday that five employees would be laid off because of a significant reduction in projected revenues.

The layoffs go into effect on November 24, 2012.

Four of the five employees are currently part-time. 

They include an environmentalist, a social worker, a health education specialist and a registered dietitian. 

The fifth employee is a support staff member.
