Franklin Co. Sheriff looking for owners of items stolen in car break-ins
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Franklin Co. Sheriff says he still has some items believed to be stolen after several car break-ins around Central Kentucky and is hoping the owners will come forward.
According to the Sheriff, Justin Hendershot, along with two teenagers, were charged in the break-ins, during which cell phones, power tools, lawn equipment and guns were taken.
Hendershot would later sell the items during yard sales at his home on Schenkle Lane around the time of the 127 Yard Sale, according to the sheriff.
The sheriff says they are responsible for breaking into about 100 vehicles in Franklin County and 100 more vehicles in Anderson County. Investigators are also looking into break-ins that happened in Shelby and Scott Counties to see if they’re connected.
More arrests are expected in this case.
