Frankfort water treatment plant resumes operations
FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The Frankfort Plant Board treatment plant is back in operation after floodwaters temporarily submerged parts of the facility, according to officials.
Plant officials confirmed that the electrical equipment has been reconnected, allowing operations to resume. During the outage, the community was asked to conserve water while crews worked to restore the facility.
However, officials note that the plant’s intake pumping building is still surrounded by water.
The Frankfort Plant Board continues to monitor the situation and will provide updates as necessary.
