Frankfort Police arrest man for Friday stabbing
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)- Frankfort Police say they have arrested a man in connection with a stabbing on Friday.
According to police, 24-year-old John B. Lamotte from Frankfort faces an assault charge for the stabbing of a woman in the 600 block of Reed Drive.
Officers say Lamotte became a person of interest when police got a complaint about a suspicious person on Evergreen Road in Franklin County shortly after the stabbing took place.
The complainant reportedly told dispatchers the man possibly had bloody hands.
The man was no longer on the property when officers responded, but police say a Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy saw Lamotte in a neighborhood nearby. Police say Lamotte immediately stopped and put his hands in the air when he saw the deputy.
According to Police, Lamotte was arrested then taken to Frankfort Regional Medical Center to be treated for an injury to his hand.
Police say Lamotte lives next door to Sanders.
