Frankfort man charged with murder in deadly apartment shooting held on $1M bond
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – A man charged in connection with a deadly apartment shooting in Frankfort is now being held on a $1 million cash bond.
According to jail records, 27-year-old Makale Marks is being held following Sunday morning’s double shooting at an apartment on Ashwood Court. Investigators said a juvenile and an adult man were both shot and taken to UK Hospital. The juvenile later died. A GoFundMe page shows the victim was just 17 years old.
Police said charges against Marks were upgraded Monday to include murder. He is also charged with burglary and assault.
Marks is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m.
