Frankfort City Commission votes to allow Sunday alcohol sales

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Frankfort City Commission voted Monday to allow Sunday alcohol sales.

Monday’s vote was on a second reading to permit the sale of alcoholic beverages on Sundays after 11:00 a.m., so the ordinance amendment passed.

The Franklin County Fiscal Court passed a matching ordinance lifting the Sunday restrictions on June 15, 2018, according to a report in the State Journal.

Alcohol sales are already allowed the other six days of the week.
