Fourth horse dies during Keeneland 2019 Fall Meet

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A fourth horse has died at Keeneland after a race on Wednesday.

According to an incident report from Keeneland, the horse “Integral” sustained a catastrophic injury to the left front leg during the race.

The Lexington Herald-Leader says Integral was later euthanized.

On opening day of the fall meet, two horses were also euthanized. Stella d’Oro was euthanized a leg injury and Fast Dreamer also suffered from a leg injury.

On October 9th, Triggerman was euthanized after falling near the finish line and suffering from a leg injury. Triggerman’s jockey was also injured and taken to the hospital with a broken collarbone.
