Four Roses host Salt River clean up

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – Employees of the Four Roses distillery volunteered on Wednesday to maintain the riverbank around the Salt River. Clean water is important to the distillery to preserve a main environmental resource, limestone-rich water.

“Without water from the Salt River, we would not be able to operate our Distillery and produce our smooth and mellow Bourbons,” said Four Roses Master Distiller Brent Elliott. “We’re committed to preserving this important resource today, tomorrow and in the future.”

The group removed debris from the dam and concrete area, as well as the highway where it forks on each side of the river, and along the roadway.
