Four inmates escape from Boyd Co. detention center

BOYD CO., Ky. (WTVQ) -Early Sunday morning, four inmates managed to escape from the Boyd County Detention Center, supposedly through a pipe chase.

Timothy Bates, Zachary King, Robert Rains, and Jeremie Deboard escaped through a pipe chase, broke into a mop closet into an unsecure area of the jail and went out an emergency fire exit.

According to the Ashland Kentucky Police Department, the escape was the result of a design flaw in the new side of the building.

According to the detention center’s Facebook, King and Deboard have both been caught, but two others remain on the run.

None of the inmates are wanted or convicted of any violent felony charges. If you see these men or have information on their location, please call Ashland Police.
