Four indicted in Social Security fraud cases
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A federal grand jury in Lexington returned indictments Thursday charging four people with defrauding the Social Security Administration (SSA).
47-year old David Kuenstner and 46-year old Roxanne Russ are accused of repeatedly lying to the SSA about the living arrangements of Kuenstner’s son, in order to collect Supplemental Security Income (SSI) on the son’s behalf and use it for their own personal lifestyles, according to prosecutors.
53-year old Robert Olin is accused of intentionally concealing that he was receiving payments from his deceased mother’s estate in order to continue to receive SSI benefits, according to prosecutors. The indictment also alleges that as a result of concealing the information, Olin received Kentucky Medicaid benefits that he wasn’t entitled to, according to prosecutors.
35-year old Tabitha Chapman is accused of lying to the SSA about the custody and support arrangements of her minor child, in order to collect SSA Survivor’s Representative Payments on the child’s behalf, according to the indictment.
