Four arrested on drug trafficking charges in Laurel County

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Four people are facing charges after deputies say drugs were discovered during a weekend traffic stop along Interstate 75.

According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, deputies pulled over a vehicle Saturday morning for a traffic violation. During the stop, investigators say they located a large amount of suspected methamphetamine hidden inside a yellow stuffed animal, along with other suspected drugs inside the vehicle.

Deputies arrested 54-year-old Gilbert Flores Jr., 44-year-old Angela Smith, 52-year-old Milford Osborne, and 59-year-old Donna Maxon in connection with the case.

Officials have not released additional details about the investigation or the specific charges filed against each person. The case remains under investigation.
