Fort Campbell soldier to be laid to rest
FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A Fort Campbell soldier who died in a helicopter training accident will be laid to rest on Friday.
Chief Warrant Officer 2 Dustin K. Wright, 40, was killed on June 11 during an Apache helicopter training exercise. He served as a pilot with the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, part of the 101st Airborne Division.
A second pilot aboard the aircraft suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from Blanchfield Army Community Hospital later that night.
The U.S. Army says an investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
