Former Wildcats make summer league debuts

LEXINGTON Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW)- The NBA 2k26 Summer League began for a lot of former class yesterday in Las Vegas. The former cats who stood out include Reed Sheppard, Koby Brea and Amari Williams. Reed Sheppard of the Houston Rockets had arguably the greatest performance of the day. In just over 33 minutes of action he scored 28 points while shooting 40% from three, while also pulling down eight rebounds and dishing out four assists with four steals and three blocks.

Next up the newest member of the Phoenix Suns Koby Brea scored 19 points in 23 minutes of action while shooting 80% from three. Brea also came away with three rebounds and one steal in last nights game.

Amari Williams had a noticeable first day as a member of the Boston Celtics. The second round pick scored 9 points in just over 21 minutes of action while shooting a perfect 3-3 from the field, he also had 3 rebounds 1 assist 1 steal and 2 blocks.

Finally Jacob Toppin had a standout game for the Atlanta Hawks. The 25 year old scored 19 points in 26 minutes of action while shooting 54% from the field, in the game Toppin also pulled down 10 boards giving him a double-double to start off summer play.
