Former Wildcat Oxendine signs with Canadian Football League team
Oxendine joins four other Cats in the CFL
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Former Kentucky football linebacker Octavious Oxendine has found a professional team after going unselected in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Radcliff, Kentucky native is a new member of the Canadian Football League’s Saskatchewan Roughriders and is not the only Wildcat on the team.
Former UK defensive lineman Micah Johnson is a Roughrider as well. Josh Ali (Calgary Stampeders), Lynn Bowden (BC Lions) and Quandre Mosely (Winnipeg Bluebombers) are the other Cats in the CFL.
Oxendine was a four-year letter winner who played in 47 career games with 19 starts for the Wildcats from 2020-24. He totaled 78 career tackles with 15.0 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, nine quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles, and one blocked kick.
