CHARLOTTE, N.C. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Former Kentucky Wildcat football player Randall Cobb is the newest analyst on the SEC Network for the upcoming college football season.

The University of Kentucky and Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Famer played in the NFL for 13 seasons, mostly for the Green Bay Packers.

During Cobb’s time in Lexington he was a First Team All American and was on the All-SEC First Team twice. The Tennessee native racked up 3,000 yards and 35 touchdowns in college.

After his three years as a Wildcat, Cobb was selected by the Packers in the 2011 NFL Draft. In the league, Cobb tallied 7,600 yards, 54 touchdowns and was a Pro Bowler.

“I am incredibly excited to be coming home to the SEC with this new role,” said Cobb. “The level of greatness this conference provides year after year is unmatched – I cannot wait return to the conference family with this SEC Network crew.”

Cobb will be featured in the SEC Now and Out of Pocket shows on the network.
