Former Wildcat Amoore injured in Mystics practice
WASHINGTON D.C. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Former Kentucky women’s basketball point guard Georgia Amoore is dealing with an injury with her new team, the Washington Mystics, during a practice on Tuesday, the team announced.
The team released a statement saying that Amoore had suffered “a right anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury,” and the team will “examine treatment and rehabilitation options and provide an update as appropriate.”
Amoore was drafted sixth overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft after one season at UK, where she had her best statistical year of her college career which finished in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
