Former US Senator buried in Covington

COVINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Family and friends are saying their goodbyes today to a Kentucky Statesmen.

Former US Senator and baseball hall of fame pitcher Jim Bunning was buried Saturday in Covington.

A funeral mass took place at Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption.

A burial service followed in St. Thomas.

Bunning died at the end of last month after suffering a stroke in October.
