Former teacher’s aide to be sentenced for online enticement of minors
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — A former teacher’s aide will be sentenced soon for attempting to entice minors to engage in sexual conduct while online.
According to a plea agreement, Ellen Phillips (formerly known as Ellen Shell) of Danville pleaded guilty last week to conducting sexual relationships with numerous underage boys in the Boyle and Garrad County areas.
Phillips would communicate with the victims on social media platforms or via text and would meet with them. Her plea agreement states Phillip engaged in sexual activity with multiple minors at the same time.
She’s scheduled to be sentenced on April 26.
Phillips faces a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of life in prison.
The investigation was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations, Kentucky State Police, Garrard County Sheriff’s Office and Danville Police Department.
