Former teacher pleads not guilty to dragging student down hallway

GREENUP COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- A former Greenup County teacher accused of dragging an autistic student at school pleaded not guilty to an assault charge Wednesday.

The video caused national outrage after it was released Tuesday.

State Police say Trina Abrams dragged the 9-year-old boy by his wrists through the hallway of a school last October.

The boy’a mother says her son suffered sprained wrists because of this and is having nightmares about it.
