Former teacher inducted into Kentucky Hall of Fame

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)- While there were many teachers at the capitol to protest – one retired teacher was there to be honored for her decades of hard work.

Nancy Hall Duncan was inducted into the Kentucky Hall of Fame.

She started her career in 1965 at a high school in Logan County where she taught home economics, earth science, and physical science.

Throughout the years, she taught at different schools in the state but her motivation to make a difference in kids lives never changed.

Some of major accomplishments include being the first in her family to get a bachelors degree, she was the first woman science teacher at Morgantown Elementary School, and she wrote a grant to bring the first pre-school for student mothers at Woodford County High School.

You have to be nominated to be inducted.

Duncan was nominated by her daughter who is also a teacher.
