Former Richmond firefighter indicted on sex crime charges involving minor

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – A grand jury has indicted a former Richmond firefighter on multiple sex crime charges.

According to Madison County Circuit court, 41-year-old Ronald Shane Allen was indicted Wednesday on sodomy, rape and sexual abuse charges involving a minor.

Allen was arrested in April.

He resigned from the Richmond Fire Department after his arrest.

His next court appearance is scheduled for July 5.
