Former Nicholasville Daycare Employee Admits To Fraud
A former assistant director for a Nicholasville daycare admitted to defrauding the company out of thousands of dollars, according to the Office of the U.S. Attorney.
Pamela Sandlin, 55, pleaded guilty to fraud on Tuesday.
In a release, the U.S. attorney said Sandlin admitted she took thousands of dollars from the Kids Connection Learning Center.
Sandlin was responsible for collecting money, making deposits and keeping track of financial transactions.
The U.S. attorney said Sandlin altered company records to conceal fraud.
The company annually receives more than $10,000 in federal program funding.
When Sandlin was arrested in 2012, Nicholasville police said she took $320,000 from the daycare.
An evidentiary hearing is scheduled for December 11 to determine how much money Sandlin took from Kids Connection Learning Center, according to the U.S. attorney.
