Former lead detective to testify at sentencing in Crystal Rogers case
BARDSTOWN, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The former lead detective in the Crystal Rogers case has been subpoenaed to appear at the upcoming sentencing of Brooks Houck and Joseph Lawson.
Jon Snow, who helped investigate the 2015 disappearance of the Bardstown mother, is scheduled to testify on September 17. Snow has previously testified in the trials of Houck, Lawson, and Steve Lawson.
In July, a jury found Houck guilty of murder and tampering with evidence, while Joseph Lawson was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with evidence. Both men are facing lengthy prison terms — life for Houck and 25 years for Lawson. Their sentencing was originally set for August 21 but delayed because of Lawson’s health issues.
Earlier this month, Steve Lawson — Joseph’s father and co-defendant — was sentenced to 17 years in prison for his role in the conspiracy.
