Former Lafayette, Kentucky QB Walker Wood transferring to McNeese State

LEXINGTON, KY – It looks like the Kentucky quarterback room will have one less member next season.

Former Lafayette and Kentucky QB Walker Wood has announced he’s transferring to McNeese State.

A shoulder injury kept Wood off the field for his first two seasons.

Last season, he saw time against Vanderbilt and UT Martin.

In his career, he went 2-3 for 15 yards passing.

On the ground, he had three rushes for 22 yards.

In high school for the Generals, Wood went 203-321 passes for 3,047 yards and 30 touchdowns.

He also rushed for 1,321 yards and 31 touchdowns.

He led the Generals to the 6A State title game two years in a row.
