Former Kentucky lawmaker dies
FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Tributes are pouring in from government officials across Kentucky as they honor the life and legacy of former state lawmaker Albert Robinson. Robinson, who served a combined 31 years in the Kentucky General Assembly, passed away on December 2, according to his family. He was laid to rest on December 4.
Robinson represented his community in the Kentucky Senate from 1994 to 2005 and again from 2013 to 2021, dedicating 18 years to the Senate and nearly half a century to public service overall.
Senate President Robert Stivers released a statement praising Robinson’s lifelong dedication to serving Kentuckians, saying, “A career in public service spanning half a century is a life well-lived.”
Robinson’s contributions and leadership left an indelible mark on the Commonwealth, and he is remembered fondly by his colleagues and constituents alike.
