Former Hardin County 911 dispatcher charged with sex crimes

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – An Elizabethtown man has been arrested and charged with more than 150 counts of sex crimes, according to the Kentucky Office of the Attorney General.

Investigators say 20-year-old Christopher James Carroll, who worked as a dispatcher at the Hardin County E-911 Center, created multiple false social media profiles in an attempt to communicate with minors and have them send nude photos.

Carroll is charged with use of a minor under the age of 16 in a sexual performance, 50 counts of use of a minor under the age of 18 in a sexual performance, 100 counts of possessing matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance, harassing communications and second-degree stalking.

He is currently in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
