Former foster kids receive brand new cars
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWSNOW) — Three former foster kids each received a brand-new car on Thursday.
“I’m feeling lost for words,” recipient Gionni Hudson said.
All three former foster kids completed Community Action Council’s Project LIFE Program. This is a program helps those who have aged out of the foster care system transition into adulthood.
Gionni Hudson, Kenyon Oden and Dawson Ferguson all received a brand-new Chevrolet Trax on Thursday with three months of insurance to get them started.
Executive Director of Community Action Council Sharon Price says they all deserved it.
“They have worked hard to find and maintain their housing, find and keep their employment, learn how to manage their finances and to build a life for themselves,” Price said.
