Former Estill County judge-executive pleads guilty to stealing funds
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – A former Estill County judge-executive pleaded guilty Friday to stealing state grant money belonging to the county.
According to the Kentucky Office of the Attorney General, 57-year-old Wallace Taylor, of Irvine, took more than $38,000 in state grant money.
The attorney general says the theft took place from December 2016 through March 2017. Wallace served as the county’s judge-executive for 15 years before retiring in 2017.
Taylor received a three year sentence that will be probated for five years. He will have to pay $38,850 to Estill County as part of his plea agreement.
