Former Councilmember Richard Moloney announces campaign for Lexington’s 11th District seat
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A longtime Lexington leader is hoping to make a return to city government. Former Councilmember Richard Moloney has officially announced his campaign for re-election to the 11th District seat on the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council.
Moloney is no stranger to City Hall — having served seven terms representing the 11th District and two terms as an at-large member, totaling more than 20 years on the council. He says his campaign will center on experience, community investment, and affordable housing, aiming to address key issues facing Lexington neighborhoods.
The seat is currently held by Jennifer Reynolds, who recently announced she will not seek re-election.
