Former business owner celebrates a century of life
RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – On Wednesday, a woman celebrated a century of life and says there’s a secret or two to living long and healthy.
She doesn’t look it, but Fanny Harrison has turned 100 years old.
Harrison was born in 1921 and raised on a dairy farm in Bell County
She’s also a former owner of a Berea business called Teresa’s Antiques and Gallery that she ran until she was 95 years old.
Harrison says she’s collected a lifetime of favorite pastimes and says the secret to living a long life is being active and never letting age slow you down.
“I swam at eastern for about 15 years in a pool in Eastern Kentucky and I played corn hole and belonged to a bowling league. I joined a team and I bowled and I like to dance and in a way I just like to do everything. I had a wonderful life,” says Harrison.
