Ford recalls more than 600,000 SUVs over windshield wiper motor failure
(ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Ford Motor Company is recalling more than 600,000 SUVs due to a potential problem with windshield wipers.
The recall affects certain 2020 through 2022 models of the Ford Explorer and Ford Escape, as well as the Lincoln Aviator and Lincoln Corsair.
Officials say the windshield wiper motors could fail, which may suddenly reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash.
Ford says it is not aware of any accidents or injuries linked to the issue but has received more than 1,300 warranty claims related to the faulty wiper motors.
Dealers will inspect the vehicles and replace the windshield wiper motors free of charge.
