Football Player Returns To Camp After Suffering Dehydration

A 16-year-old boy returned to football camp at Georgetown College Thursday after being treated for dehydration.

According to Georgetown coach Bill Cronin, the teenager is doing much better, but will not practice for a few days.

Cronin says there’s no concrete way to prevent dehydration, but has seen some coaches take steps to prevent it.

"I have seen coaches call off practices during extreme times, go in half pads or less pads, and slow down drills so they can be cautious of it," said Cronin.

The coach also added that players should try and drink as much water as possible.
