Food Pantry seeks turkey donations
VERSAILLES, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Food Pantry for Woodford County is asking for help to make the holidays brighter for local families in need.
The pantry has set a goal to collect 300 turkeys this season to ensure families can enjoy a traditional holiday meal. So far, only 20 turkeys have been donated. Distribution for participating families is set to begin next week during the pantry’s regular Monday and Thursday drives.
Donations can be dropped off at the pantry on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those unable to make it during those hours can call 859-682-9989 to schedule a special drop-off time.
The pantry will continue accepting donations through the end of December and says every turkey makes a difference.
