Food distribution set for Monday in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Community partners are scheduled to deliver food boxes on Monday, June 7, in a Lexington neighborhood, which will include a drive-thru option.
The Office of the Fayette County Sheriff, Lexington Police Department and God’s Pantry Food Bank will distribute 440 food boxes in the North Upper Street neighborhood from 10:00 a.m. – Noon.
The Dunbar Community Center at 545 North Upper Street, will serve as a drive-thru location for people who aren’t having the food delivered.
People using the drive-thru are asked to enter through the Toner Street entrance.
The giveaway is on a first come, first served basis. The food is provided by God’s Pantry Food Bank in an ongoing effort to combat hunger and food insecurity.
