Foal euthanized after being shot in Jessamine County
JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVW) – The Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office says a foal had to be put down after someone shot it overnight.
The sheriff says someone fired multiple rounds from a rifle into the horse paddock at Springhouse Farm on Tates Creek Road, hitting a 9-month-old thoroughbred.
Investigators believe it happened between 11 p.m. Thursday and 2 a.m. Friday.
The foal was still alive when it was found Friday morning but the sheriff says the injuries were so severe, it had to be put down.
Deputies are looking for a suspect.
