Flu deaths continue to rise in Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The number of flu-related deaths continues to go up in the state.

Health officials say 30 more people died from the flu in Kentucky this week.

That brings the total number of deaths in the state from the flu to 132.

There are now 6,287 confirmed flu cases in the state, according to health officials.

In Fayette County, 12 people have died from the flu so far this season and the number of confirmed flu cases is at 565.
