Florida fugitive arrested in Kentucky

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- A Florida fugitive accused of battery has been arrested in Laurel County.

The county sheriff says 59-year-old Sandra Thomas is from Corbin, but she is on the run from charges in Florida.

Laurel County deputies arrested her around 4:30 PM Friday off American Greeting Card Road.

In addition to her battery charges, she’s also accused of hitting or resisting an officer without violence in Pinellas County in Florida.

According to deputies, she will be extradited back to florida.
