Flooding in Central Kentucky

CENTRAL KENTUCKY (WTVQ) – Many roads in Central Kentucky flooded because of Friday’s rain. Road and safety crews remind drivers: turn around, don’t drown.

A stretch of Roan Road in Versailles was flooded. It was also trash day so when the road flooded, the water picked up trash cans, causing them to topple into the street.

Lexington Police say Old Harrordsburg Road between Bowman Mill and Military Pile was closed due to high water.

Lisle Road in Scott County was closed. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says Cane Run Creek flooded, covering Lisle Road.
