Flipped vehicle snags outbound traffic on Winchester Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – An accident on Winchester Road in Lexington is clogging Friday afternoon traffic at the start of the long holiday weekend.

Outbound Winchester Road is shut down at Industry Road east to New Circle Road after an SUV flipped. Fire crews had to extricate the passengers.

Traffic is being diverted to Industry Road.

The accident happened at about 4:10 p.m.
