Five Die On Kentucky Roadways Last Week

State Police say a bicycle rider is one of five people who died last week on Kentucky roads.

Troopers just put out the preliminary numbers from Monday, September 23rd to Sunday, September 29th.

State Police say deadly collisions happened during that time in Cumberland, Fleming, Floyd, Jefferson and Powell Counties.

According to troopers, so far 473 people have died on Kentucky roads this year.

That’s 76 less than reported for the same time period in 2012.

State Police say that out of 365 motor vehicle fatalities this year, 182 victims were not wearing seat belts.

There have also been 63 motorcycle deaths and nine ATV deaths in 2013.

And troopers say two bicyclists and 33 pedestrians have also been killed this year.
