First in-person event since pandemic for the Carnegie Center
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Back to School Bash was put on by the Carnegie Center Sunday afternoon in Gratz Park. This is its first in-person event its hosted since the pandemic.
The Carnegie Center says this annual event is a chance for families to share a meal, get a free backpack of school supplies and enjoy playing outside.
“My favorite part is seeing a lot of familiar faces, families that come to the Carnegie Center for programming all the time,” says Erica Cook, outreach and volunteer director.
The Carnegie Center says because of the popularity of the event, it has been able to grow and expand and become a staple in the community.
