First it was ice cream, now for Beshear and Virginia, it’s beer

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – First they had ice creams named after them. Then came coffee cups and cup cakes and cookies and even face masks.

Now, the notoriety from Gov. Andy Beshear’s daily coronavirus briefings with sign language guru Virginia Moore, an American Sign Language interpreter and executive director of the Kentucky Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, is spreading to a new arena.

Blue Stallion brewing, a Lexington-based craft microbrewery, is releasing bears today named in their honor.

For Beshear, it’s Sh’Andy Beer’Sheer Lemonade & Lager Shandy. For Moore, it’s Sweet Virginia Sangria Lager with Black Currant and Passionfruit.
