First annual Kentucky Proud Festival

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Sunday the first annual Kentucky Proud Festival took over the Bluegrass Stockyards.

The event highlights all things Kentucky.

There was live music, food, and vendors from across the state.

Twitch is an Operations Manager with Cumulus radio and he has a side hobby… he is a woodworker.

He said it is important to support local creators.

“All of these people started off probably in their garage maybe in a room in their house with a hobby and then the first time someone buys something you make, it’s a great feeling,” Twitch said.

A portion of the proceeds from the festival goes towards Feeding Kentucky, it benefits the Hunger Initiative and it benefits locally made products.
