Firefighters: Kitchen fire damages Lexington duplex

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Firefighters say a kitchen fire damaged a Lexington duplex. Investigators say no one was hurt this afternoon in the fire on Honey Jay Court off Centre Parkway.

A man reportedly told the fire department he was cooking in his kitchen when he stepped out for a quick moment. Investigators say the fire, which started on the stove, spread to the attic. Despite the damage, firefighters say no one will be displaced tonight.
