Firefighters find dead body after Pike County fire

PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police are investigating a death they say happened Saturday in Pike County after firefighters found a body in a home they had just fought a fire in.

Just after 11 p.m. Saturday, several fire departments arrived to find the home on Road Creek Road fully engulfed in flames.

After putting out the fire, firefighters say they found a body inside.

Investigators think the person could have died from the fire and they don’t suspect foul play.
