Firefighters check for hot spots after Lexington house fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Firefighters were back at the scene of a house fire on Tuesday morning in Lexington, following a blaze that destroyed a home on Delaware Avenue, off Winchester Road, Monday night.

According to the fire department, the fire, which broke out just before 7:30 p.m., caused significant damage to the residence. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

According to the Lexington Fire Department, crews returned to the site on Tuesday to check for hot spots that could potentially reignite. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
