Firefighters Battle Fire At Richmond Hotel

The Richmond Fire Department was called Monday afternoon to a hotel fire off of Killarney Drive and the Eastern Bypass.

It reportedly started around 3:30.

Firefighters said it had likely started in a bedroom, then spread down a hallway.

Investigators said that the hotel staff and its guests were able to get out safely.

According to firefighters, two rooms were damaged.

The fire department said it started with someone cooking.

Foul play is not suspected.
