Firefighters battle blaze at London business for three hours
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – ‘Larkey HVAC’ on North Mill Street in London caught fire shortly after 10:30 Monday morning. London firefighters say someone driving by called in and reported seeing smoke coming out of the building.
All London Fire Department units responded where firefighters say all people were cleared from inside and given a wellness check. City firefighters say Laurel and East Bernstadt fire departments were paged to assist. According to the London Fire Department, the fire took about three hours to put out.
“We’ve been out here most of the day, during that time, and no one got injured and the fire is still under investigation of the cause,” says London Fire Department Public Information Officer Magen Zawko.
London Police blocked off a section of North Mill Street and power was cut off in the area while firefighters worked.
