Lexington Fire: Military Pike house fire still under investigation

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Lexington Fire Department worked a structure fire in the 4300 block of Military Pike on Tuesday afternoon.

Military Pike was shutdown for several hours between Fort Springs Pinckard Rd and Woodford Co line because of the fire.

The fire department says several people were inside at the time and were able to get out safely. Two cats were rescued from the home and are doing okay, according to officials.

The fire department says the fire was in the back of the house and is unlivable.

Investigators say no criminal activity is suspected and the cause is still under investigation.
