Fire on Canonero Drive displaces one person

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Fire crews were called to a house fire early Monday morning on the 1300 block of Canonero Drive, according to the Lexington Fire Department.

Firefighters said they arrived around 6:16 a.m. to find smoke and flames visible, prompting an upgrade to a working structure fire. The blaze was contained to a single bedroom, though smoke caused damage throughout the home.

One adult resident was inside at the time and will be displaced, but no injuries were reported.

Fire investigators were on scene Monday morning to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
